Why is Laser Hair Removal so Popular for Men?
In the past, men were not concerned about body hair removal at all. They simply let their hair grow where it grew naturally and that was that. Issue closed. Some men had hairy chests. Some had hairy backs. But, except for a few bodybuilders at competition time and other sports guys such as cyclists and swimmers, men didn’t do a thing about body hair at all and laser hair removal for men was never talked about.
Then pictures started appearing in the media of male models completely devoid of body hair showing off their six packs and body art and it suddenly became very trendy among celebrities and those who follow them to get rid of the hairy bits.
Now it is very common for men who care about their appearance (or who have partners who care on their behalf) to remove hair from chest, back, stomach and sometimes arms and legs – depending how much hair is there to bother about.
And laser hair removal seems to be the most popular method among those who can afford it.
There are quite a few reasons for that, not least of which is that you can remove vast swathes of hair fast as well as achieve a permanent reduction in body hair – it simply becomes a relatively quick (though expensive) maintenance task (for those who have had the full treatment) to deal with any regrowth and keep them smooth and looking good.
After the very first treatment all hair will be shed and any regrowth will be retreated in a series of sessions (probably 3 to 6) until it is down to maintenance level.
How appealing for men (who are generally action-orientated) to go and have their excess hair zapped by a laser and get the problem sorted with no mess and fuss. I’m sure the Star Wars sounding technology (although it is actually far from that) has plenty of appeal to men too!
