Using Hair Implants For Male Pattern Baldness
Many men suffer from MPB – Male Pattern Baldness. This is a common disorder that causes hairloss in the temporal area and also in the back of the head. The reason it is called MPB is that it is caused by male sex hormones and usually only occurs in men. In some cases women who are overproducing male hormones have the same condition. Male hormones destroy the hair follicles in these areas which makes it impossible to regrow the hair, but hair implants can be used as a treatment if the patient feels that it is too uncomfortable to have bald spots. A lot of men are comfortable with this since they see it as a part of being a man, but some men lose confidence in themselves.
Usually mens hair implants are not that different from other types of implants. There are natural and artificial ones, and the natural ones seem to be working better in most cases. The reason for this is that the implants are usually taken from the patient, making it merely a transfer of hair follicles to another place. Usually hair lobes from the back of the head are taking to thicken the hair in the temporal area – the hair lobes are harvested individually, and then carefully implanted individually. The doctor usually does all that is in his or hers power to create a natural looking growth on the treated area, and in the best cases, this method can even induce the growth of new hair follicles.
Most people are inevitably going to face baldness in some part of their lives, they can merely postpone it with their lifestyle. Some people can definitely avoid it completely if they take the proper precautions. The easiest way to find out if you are at risk, is to look at your father, his brothers and their father – if they were bald by the age of 25, chances are you will also be bald at an early age.
