There are a lot of benefits to adding recessed lights to your kitchen. A really cool installation that I have seen a couple of times is small LED recessed lights mounted into the underside of the cabinets. This provides much more help than you might think, and since LED’s use so little energy they are also very affordable to use. Mini recessed lights are usually an inch or so wide, so they fit perfectly into the cabinet bottom. Another cool thing about doing this is that it’s a fairly easy DIY project that many homeowners can pull of in a weekend.
Recessed lights are great in every room in the home, and can make a great basement renovation lighting idea. However they tend to make the biggest impact in the kitchen where they will get more use then any other room in the house.
