Tanning Dangers – Do You Need To Cut Down?
I love to get a good tan. It always makes me look and feel way better about myself when I have a nice tan. My friends and I like to hang out at the beach in the mid summer when temperatures are blazing hot. We always go swimming for a while until we are tired. Then we go back on land and spread out a towel. Me and my friends always make sure to bring lots of sunblock and we rub it across each other’s backs. You have to be careful with tanning, because you don’t want to get a sun burn. Besides, getting that rich, glowing, bronzed look is harder than you’d think if you don’t tan often. There’s a whole science behind this. You should never tan for too long, or you will suffer serious health consequences.
It is possible to become addicted to tanning. This almost happened to me until I took the time to inform myself on the web and I wised up. Did you know that tanning indoors, in a tanning bed, for about 20 minutes equals tanning outdoors for about 4 hours? It’s easy to see how you might completely overdo tanning once you get inside a tanning booth.
Your skin develops a tan when ultraviolet radiation from the sun or a tanning booth penetrates the skin and causes it to produce melanin. The melanin makes your skin darker. This is the body’s natural defense against UV rays. But the defense mechanism isn’t flawless. Get too much of it, and you will develop skin issues, the worst of which is skin cancer.
There are two types of of ultraviolet radiation. There is UVA radiation and UVB radiation. The first one penetrates the lower layers of the skin and triggers melanin production. The second one more quickly causes sun burn because it burns the top layer of your skin. If you are a naturally dark skinned person, you will not easily get sun burn. Your dark skin contains more melanin naturally and blocks any damaging rays.
Too much tanning will cause harm to anybody, no matter how dark the skin is. So always be careful with tanning. Get the right sun block lotion for your personal skin. Make sure to always apply this and never tan more than you know you should!
If you want to tan quickly so you can minimize your exposure to harmful rays, you could try out the Paint It Black Tanning Accelerator. It’s very effective! Another one that I particularly like, is this Designer Skin Indoor Tanning Accelerator!
