Less Stress with Wall Organizers

Posted in Organizing on April 6th, 2010 by Jim – Comments Off

If you have ever had to run around the house looking for a piece of mail or the keys to your car, then you know how frustrating this can be especially if you are running late. Even if you have a table set up for this sort of thing, someone could easily walk by, bump into the table, and cause the contents to fall. This isn’t too much of a big deal but if you have bills on that table and one of them were to go under a couch, that can cause you to miss a payment. So what can you do about this situation? Well, there are lots of things that you can do and one of those things is to get yourself one of those wall organizers.

These organizers are basically storage units that you would attach to the wall. It will have slots for you to put your mail and even hang your keys. Some of them will have a bunch of different key hooks or some other form of mail key organizer that you can use to store multiple keys. This will help you avoid the hassle of having to look for your keys every time you need them since they will all be in one place. Wall organizers can vary in terms of design and storage capacity. There are simple ones that pretty much looks like a box with a couple of slots in them while others can be more elaborate and have a shape of a house and can even come with a clock.

The main purpose of having something like this is to give you a consistent spot to store your mail as well as your keys. Just buying one of these organizers isn’t going to do much unless you get into the habit of actually using the organizer. What you can do to make this easy is simply hang it somewhere that is convenient for you such as in the entryway, kitchen, or just anywhere that you will always pass every time you get home or leave the house.

If you need to get yourself even more organizing space for your home then you might want to take a look at walk in closets as well.

Why bother buying a walk in closet system? Buying a closet system will give you more room in your closet to store your clothes. Buy the system according to how many clothes or shoes, or just storage space that you need. It’s always nice to have tons of storage space in a closet. What’s even better is having a place for all of your things. The first order of business is researching walk in closets designs to see what tickles your fancy. There are so many different options to choose from that it could take you awhile trying to decipher between closet organization systems. Once you find the right one for you decide if your budget will handle a custom setup of if you need the do it yourself installation kit.

If you have an idea of what you like in a closet system, then go down to the local home improvement store. You can buy each shelf, or shoe storage individually. It helps if you have a picture of what you want as a finished closet to look at while you are purchasing the pieces. You could draw a picture of the way you would like to configure your walk in closet design. A closet designer can also help you tremendously if you feel you want to take the professional route. I recommend this option especially if you have the funds to do so.

Everyone wants to know what is the price? It varies on how extensive the system is. Buying a kit is affordable, on the other hand, purchasing a custom closet system that has to be installed, is much more expensive. It’s all about how much do you want to spend for a closet organizer. The main thing to remember is that you need to do some looking around to see what you like and educate yourself before you purchase.
