Vertical Jump Training The Right Way

First, when you jump always be sure that you will swing your arms because this gives you the force. Straighten you arms at first and when you start to bend down to jump swing your arms down. Then as you go off into the air, swing your arms as high as you can. Jumping without your arms will not help you reach that high jump.
Next thing is to choose and learn your own jumping style. There are two aspects in choosing a style – the speed and the power. If you have a jumping style in mind, it will give you the idea on how you should train yourself. The speed is for those natural jumpers. You are not strong and better at jumping on one foot. Small players are usually known as speed jumpers. Next is the power. This is use for those who jump using a huge strength.
Speed jumpers are more required to do loads of workouts like squats. This will help their legs become stronger that can assist them in pushing naturally when jumping. Power jumpers on the other hand are recommended to do polymetric workouts and exercises that need motion. This will aid them on how to move correctly.
Use a variety of exercises. Doing only one vertical jump exercise will keep a certain muscle on your body to be strong and tuned up. This will make them less able to do various types of workouts. Try different forms of exercise.
Lastly, you need intensity. Intensity helps a person focus on the work that he needs to do. It does not only train you body but also your mind. Being intense makes you willing to do the work and can help you achieve your goal.
