For smokers trying to discover an alternative to their regular tobacco products the e cigarette is a healthier option which is quickly gaining acceptance. Also known as the electric cigarette, this battery powered device utilizes a component known as an atomizer to vaporize a nicotine solution when the smoker inhales on the filter. The vapor which is produced contains nicotine and a substance called propylene glycol which gives the vapor a smoke-like appearance.

The nicotine “smoke” and the tobacco like sensation experienced when using the e cigarette ensures that smokers don’t miss their traditional smokes and many actually prefer the clean taste of this high-tech nicotine replacement product. There are a range of flavors available so whether you are looking for the familiar tobacco flavor or something fresh such as mint there is plenty for you to choose from.

E Cigarettes have only been on the market for a couple of years so there is still a fair amount of work to be done before everyone gets to know this device and to give it a shot. With that said, the e cig is no longer considered a niche or novelty item as many hundreds of smokers are deciding to make that purchase every day.

What you should remember if you are thinking about taking the plunge yourself is that this device hasn’t been approved as a stop smoking aid by the FDA due to the fact that extensive testing of its safety has not been carried out. This isn’t to say that the electronic cigarette is in any way dangerous and most of us would come to the conclusion that its likely to be far safer than the alternative of tobacco.

Apart from the possible health benefits of switching over to the E Cig there is also the large amount of cash to stand to save in the process. Smokers often get put of when they see the price of buying a starter kit but when you consider the low cost of replacement cartridges you see that you will be saving a fortune over the course of a year.

Even if you decide to opt for one the most expensive starter kits on market such as green smoke e cigarettes you will still save over 50% on your annual smoking bill.

Your only predicament should be trying to decide which model to go for, and with so many on the market this may be no easy task. If you have been smoking for a number of years, and are concerned for your health, but are just not ready to quit yet, smokeless cigarettes might be just what you need. As you will already be aware, smoking has more downsides than just being terrible for your health. Not to make those health risks seem less important, but there are also practical problems beyond that.

A smokeless cigarette is a healthier alternative to smoking tobacco that gives the user all of those physical and mental needs that you get from long term smoking, but without all of those dangerous chemicals. They are going to make you feel like you are smoking but it is going to cost you a huge amount less than if you continued to smoke tobacco.

Smokeless cigarettes even look just like a regular tobacco cigarette. Where is filter is on a normal cigarette is the nicotine cartridge and atomizer on the smokeless, or E cigarette. Then the section that would contain the tobacco in fact is a small lithium battery and also an LED.

When you take a drag from the smokeless cigarette the atomizer is activated and this heats the nicotine solution in the cartridge into a vapor, which looks and feels like cigarette smoke, but is free from all of those harmful chemicals. By inhaling this vapor you get the exact same feeling as you get from a tobacco cigarette and you also get a hit of nicotine. So you all of those sensations you get, and love getting, from a tobacco cigarette but with much less risk to your health.

Your main reason for switching to smokeless cigarette might be because of the relative safety they offer. There have been many studies to verify their safety. These studies have stated that the vapor from electronic cigarettes only contained 20 ingredients, all of these are found in food that many of us already eat, compare this to the 4000 chemicals you find in tobacco cigarettes. You should also know that E cigarettes do not produce any second hand smoke and give off no bad smells or stains.

If you are not too bothered about the health factors then maybe you want to save yourself some money. Smokeless cigarettes might be a big costly when you make your first purchase but when it comes to buying refills they cost so little, a refill cartridge can cost you just over a dollar, this will give you the same amount of smoking time as a regular pack of cigarettes. Plus you can buy them online, this makes them really convenient.

Even though smokeless cigarettes are not usually marketed as a stop smoking device, common sense will tell you that getting over the nicotine habit is only a small part of giving up smoking. There is a physical side to it as well, the feeling of the smoke in your lungs and the feel of the cigarette between your fingers is a really hard thing to get away from. Because smokeless cigarettes help to recreate all of these things, they are a great product to bridge the gap.
