Other Ideas for Scrapbooking Rooms
Posted in Hobbies on February 26th, 2010 by Jim – Comments OffIf you don’t have the space, did you know that scrapbooking rooms can be set up in other locations of your home and serve largely the same purpose? Sure, there is no rule that you have to have a dedicated room to scrapbook. You can do it from anywhere. That is the beauty of scrapbooking, but you will need someplace to store all your supplies. And, it is certainly easier to have somewhere in which your supplies are readily accessible and easy to use.
One such place for scrapbooking rooms that people often forget about is in using a portion of another room such as your bedroom. Often the master bedroom is larger than the other rooms in the house, making it the ideal place to begin setting up scrapbooking rooms for many people.
To set up in a portion of the master bedroom all you need to do is firstly decide on the area of the room you will be taking over. One of the best places to set up your space is most likely near a window or other natural light source like a sky light window. Move the furniture that is currently in that space out of the way and find other places for it. Is the space large enough to work with? Think about what you would like to put in there, furniture wise.
Scrapbooking rooms typically have unique furniture, but you can certainly make do with what you have or what you can find at a thrift shop. You will need a desk with drawers and cupboard space as well. If you have room, you can put in those rolling drawer units or perhaps even shelving. And also don’t forget the chair. You will also need to have access to an electrical outlet for your electronic tools and also to be able to plug in a light.
Now you can get started and use your space to it’s best advantage. Scrapbooking rooms in other rooms don’t get a lot of attention, but they certainly can be made to serve their purpose.
