Rosacea Treatment Through Different Approaches

On the other hand, this may also be observed on the chest, ears, neck, and scalp. Rosacea is mainly considered as an incurable skin condition by most doctors however; symptoms of this can be relieved or addressed. This is observed in both males and females at the age of 30 to 60 years old however; incidence rates are higher in women. Rosacea treatment involves the use of different approaches.
Rosacea symptoms can be addressed through the use of different treatment regimens such as natural treatments for rosacea, rosacea laser treatment, and prescription drugs. Natural treatments for rosacea basically involve making changes in the patient’s diet by minimizing consumption of food items that are rich in fat. Moreover, raw foods are advised to be eaten in large amounts along with natural extracts and fruits. In addition to this, natural herbal detoxification products can also be used to decrease the amounts of toxins and chemicals in the kidneys, which are said to have effects on the skin.
Rosacea laser treatment on the other hand, uses two types of laser namely pulsed dye laser and intense pulsed light laser. This treatment is recognized as one of the most effective remedies to rosacea. Patients that have subjected themselves to rosacea laser treatment have been observed to have a decrease in papule breakouts, prominent blood vessels, burning sensations, itching sensations, swelling, facial flushing, and redness.
Another treatment regimen for rosacea involves the use of prescription medications such as oral antibiotics and topical creams. Commonly prescribed oral antibiotics for the treatment of rosacea include tetracycline (minocycline, doxycycline, and tetracycline). These oral meds are usually paired along with topical antibiotics like benzoyle peroxide, metronidazole, and azelaic acid.
