Lose Weight With the Right Mind Frame
Posted in Weight Loss on January 18th, 2010 by Jim – Comments OffWhen you’re trying to lose weight, it seems like eating is constantly on your mind. And even though you’ve already eaten, the mind plays tricks and you feel hunger pains. You obsess about it and think about indulging in the goodies and junk food that got you into trouble in the first place. If that is the case for you, here are some tips for staying the course of losing weight.
Most people will eat when they are bored. It just gives them something to do. What’s even worse is that they eat in front of the tv and what they are shoving into their mouths does their body no good. If that is the case, just go out for a walk around the block. Not only will this get you some fresh air, but walking is healthy exercise as well. Furthermore, if you do want to stay in front of the tv, how about exercising in front if it? If you can’t afford a stationary bike, then just do some handheld dumbbell weights. If you have to eat in front of the tv, it’s okay once in a while as long as the snacks are healthy like a piece of fruit or vegetable. In fact, snacking on healthy foods is encouraged as it will lessen the binge eating at meal times.
People tend to overeat because they still feel hungry because the brain hasn’t processed that they are full yet. To help this situation out, wear a binding under around the stomach to help the stomach feel full. Women are familiar with shapewear underwear in department stores and there are stomach girdles for men as well. Some men might hesitate in putting one on but mens girdles do the trick much in the same principle as a gastric bypass surgery in restricting food consumption – but without the cost of surgery and the complications associated with it.
There you have the tricks to keep your mind occupied in losing weight. All it amounts to really is staying active!
