Is the Ab Chair A Good Buy?

Posted in Fitness on January 27th, 2010 by Jim – Comments Off

When it comes to fitness workouts and equipment, there are a myriad of what I like to call ‘gimmick’ products available on the market. This is even more true when it comes to abdominal equipment–perhaps more true in this area than any other type of fitness products on the market. One such product is the ab roller chair. So, is this product legit and can it help you target and develop your abs in a more effective way than traditional exercises such as sit-ups and crunchs?

When trying to answer this question, it’s important to take into account two factors. One, is the cost – is the extra cost (because doing crunches is free) worth it? Does the abs chair help you target your abs that much more effectively to justify the price tag? The ab chair elite costs around $100 and the ab chair 2 costs around $80, which isn’t that bad, but it definately isn’t free by any means.

The second factor you need to consider is the effectiveness of the product. Even if it were free, does it effectively work out your abdominal muscles? For this one, you will need to read multiple ab chair reviews to get a better idea. You can also speak with a local fitness guru and get his or her take, but it really is best to try it out yourself or to get information directly from a previous user of the device.

Bottom Line:

When you look at the ab chair from these two perspectives, the grade it recieves is probably between a 5-6 out of 10. Amazon customers have rated it as a 3.4 out of 5 with over 3,400 reviews, so that gives you a pretty strong indication that the machine works somewhat but probably not up to the level that would make it worth it to spend the $80 to $100 and then find a place to store it as well.

Trying to Losing Belly Fat at 40?

Posted in Weight Loss on January 10th, 2010 by admin – Comments Off

We all know how annoying and stubborn belly fat can be for women over 40 years of age, especially if a trip to the beach or a dive in the pool with friends and family is fast approaching. You wouldn’t want people all around you to see flab popping out of your bikini, right? If you want to get rid of belly fat permanently and feel confident in whatever you wear and wherever you go, it is important that you learn about the tips on how to lose belly fat, particularly for women over the age of 40, and apply them properly and correctly. This is because exercises and eating habits that aren’t meant to burn belly fat will just make you feel tired, exhausted, and encourage you to eat more because your body lacks the energy already.

The first thing that you have to consider is your diet. What you eat and drink contributes one way or another to the burning or accumulation of belly fat. For example, if you normally eat foods that are rich in fat, carbohydrates, and sugar, definitely you’ll be having a very hard time getting rid of all of that belly fat. If you continuously drink alcohol with friends, it wouldn’t be a surprise if your belly grows bigger and bigger. When losing belly fat for women over 40, eating habits and the food and liquids included in one’s diet are two main factors that are very important, so start cutting down on fatty and sugary foods and add more fruits, vegetables, and foods rich in monounsaturated fat. Drink lots of water and fruit juices and avoid drinking beer and other alcoholic drinks from now on.

Second, it is important to keep yourself active through daily exercises in order to get rid of belly fat permanently. Here, you can always engage yourself in over 40 bodybuilding workouts and daily exercises that you can do at home. What’s important is that you’re burning all of the calories from the food that you eat and you’re keeping your body in good shape.
