Diet and Total Body Cleanse Hints and Tips

Thinking of going on a diet or undertaking a total body cleanse in order to lose weight fast? The following hints and tips should help you make a decision about what direction to take when you make your efforts.

  • There is no evidence that a doing a total body cleanse, like the one using the lemon detox diet, actually removes toxins from the body. Most toxins are removed from the body by the kidneys and liver functions, urine and stool.
  • Negative effects of doing a long term detoxification include headaches, anemia, hypoglycemia and irregular heart beat, headache, unpleasant body odour, skin irritation, nausea.
  • The best diet is based on the consumption of raw fruit and vegetables, whole grains, important sources of fiber, proteins and unsaturated fatty acids. In addition exercise and eliminating stress are absolutely necessary.
  • A raw food diet is generally composed of fruits, vegetables, grains, cereals, dried fruits and juices, spices and herbs. It is a diet that maintains exclusive use of raw food, unprocessed and not subjected to any heat treatment.
  • Unripe fruits, lemons, oranges, tangerines, pineapple, kiwi, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, plums, apples, grapes, cherries, tomatoes fall within acidic foods. After digestion, however, they become less alkaline and lower the acidity of the internal environment.
  • Acidity can generally be kept within normal limits by consuming alkaline foods such as potatoes, green vegetables (lettuce, broccoli, spinach, cabbage), carrots, beet, banana, avocado and dried fruit (dates, figs, apples, pears , apricots).
  • Food or nutritional supplements diuretics do not decrease the level of body fat and do not help you lose 10 pounds or more fast, but they help the body eliminate fluids.
  • Plants and herbs with diuretic properties are: parsley, artichokes, asparagus, fruit, juniper, celery, dandelion, watermelon.
  • The lemonade diet is strictly a detoxification program. The weight loss is caused by water removal.
  • Dried fruits are recommended such as raisins, figs, dates, apricots because they are a healthy source of fast energy when you need it;
  • Replace coffee with green tea. Green tea is much more healthier and has many health benefits.
