Having Continuous Car Insurance Coverage for Lower Rates
Posted in Car Insurance on April 13th, 2010 by Jim – Comments OffWho does not like being rewarded with discounts on daily car insurance rates and to be able to notice the savings each and every month and relish in the extra cash in the pocket? Just about all vehicle owners would love for this to happen, and luckily, this is definitely possible as long as determination and persistence are combined and utilized. Required by law, each and every vehicle owner has to have liability coverage up to a minimum dollar amount granted per state and if they choose not to, they can suffer legal consequences such as fines, license suspension and possible jail time depending on the severity of the offence. Because car insurance policies are required by law, it is important to always have one on hand and make sure there are no skips or gaps in protection.
Over the course of three years, an individual with two gaps and another vehicle owner with no gaps whatsoever, the person that has no lapses in car insurance coverage will automatically receive lower rates. While the other automobile owner may have just been looking at different car insurance companies in the intent to get a different policy, skipping a day or two is definitely not allowed and there will be consequences for anyone that decides to do this.
While there are definitely going to be discounts given by daily car insurance providers for having constant coverage over the course of ten years, three years seems to be the ideal number where the best results are obtained and stay that way for the remainder of the time. It can be quite silly to see so many vehicle owners complain about paying too much on auto insurance costs and whatnot while not being responsible or taking advantage of all the possible discounts and savings. Overall, continuous car coverage with no gaps is the best way to go and will help pave the way for lower rates throughout the years.
