Adding a floating candle centerpiece is a romantic and elegant way to decorate any table.  They also make great party decorations for weddings, birthdays or any special occasion.  Their look is not only what makes them a wonderful decoration, but they are cheap as well.  A lot cheaper than having to replace flower arrangements every week.  You can easily coordinate them with your home furnishings and they can easily be changed when you are wanting a new look for your centerpiece.   You will find centerpieces available to buy or you can make your own. It is very easy to make your own and here a few quick things to consider when making yours.

The most important thing to think about is the color selection.  Do you prefer a simple arrangement using one color or are you going for a vibrant centerpiece that will  pull the colors out of the room?  If you are desiring a stylish and romantic centerpiece then add a few floating black candles into a bowl with rose petals scattered around.  You can stick with one color of petals or mix and match.  If you are wanting the black candles, or whatever single color you choose, to be the main focus you can simply place them in a clear bowl with minimal additions.

Next you want to think about the type of bowl you will place the candles in.  Do you prefer a more dramatic long cylinder or a shallow round bowl?  You will want to think about whether you want a simple clear bowl or one with a hint of color or decorations.   Once you’ve chosen your color scheme and bowl then buy the candles.  You will want to make sure that they are floating candles.

Creative Ideas For Wedding Favor Centerpieces

One way to cut down on the ever increasing costs of a wedding is to combine several ideas into one. You can, for example, have your wedding centerpieces double as your wedding favors – or even (gasp) triple as your table numbers or name cards even! It can be done; it just takes a little creative thinking.

For unique wedding favor centerpieces, why not use wine bottles as favors for your guests? Whether full size or smaller, you can replace the labels with the table numbers – or menu even. An arrangement of the bottles amongst flowers and candles in the center of the table would be beautiful or you can have the flowers be the favors. For example, why not plant a take-home garden in the center of the table? From afar it looks like a solid box of flowers – up close however, you’ll notice the individual pots for each guest to take home.  Another idea would be to center your tables with multi-level trays of decadent desserts – some sweets are just too beautiful to eat! Leave small Chinese take-out boxes or foldable mini cake boxes on the tables for the guests to take the treats home in.

On almost any wedding favor website you can find “cake boxes,” these gorgeous little boxes form a “cake” when put together on a platter. Fill them with anything you desire! Just remember to light everything properly with candles and use mirrors wisely to reflect that beautiful light back onto your unique centerpieces! (Even your candles when done right, can be the take-home favor of the night.)

Wedding favor centerpieces can make beautiful centerpieces when done correctly. As always, remember to have fun and be creative with your decisions – think out of the box a little bit and you can make people remember your wedding for years to come!
