Did you know that drinking tea is good for health? You probably were aware of the fact as there has been much much written about the subject in recent years. While some people detest drinking tea and won’t consume it no matter how good it might be for your health, there are others who will be happy to start drinking even if it is no their favorite tipple. I can honestly tell you that most likely I haven’t even tasted fifty per cent of all tea varieties grown in the world.

I am sure you have heard of the popular green tea, which originated from Japan. This is perhaps the most popular of teas amongst people looking to for the health benefits of this beverage. We tend to hold the Japanese in high regard when it comes to health matters because they are one of the few nations on earth who actually live to a very ripe old age in relative good health. With their habit of drinking green tea in copious amounts, its no wonder that we have come to regard their national drink as contributing to their long life expectancy.

But besides green tea, do you know that there are other types of tea out that which can bring good health? Take for example rooibos tea. Do you know that there are many rooibos tea health benefits? And when I talk about large amounts of tea it is not only just black but also green and white tea which they are prolific producers of.

So its not just the ubiquitous Japanese green tea that produces the extra health benefits that we are all searching from. Black tea has actually been scientifically proven to reduce your levels of the stress hormone cortisol, improve your memory and possibly treat Alzheimer’s, act as an anti-carcinogen and inhibit tumor growth and even decrease your risk for stroke. The next time you go to the supermarket why not pick up a couple of packs of a tea you have never tried before to give your taste buds and your entire body a treat.
