Small Pendant Lights For Your Home
If you have visited your local DIY store lately you will have probably noticed the amazing choices you now have in lighting. You are not left with choosing the same as your neighbor has, that dreary globe is out the door. Small pendant lights are now very sophisticated and chic and they are made to be used in nearly every room in the house. If used singly pendant lights look attractive and can be fitted into tight spaces, or use in a group to make a statement.
Choosing between a handmade glass, or from shades made from material, will not be an easy choice to decide. A glass shade can come not only in any color you wish for, but in styles from flower like trumpets to globes that look like they are blown from soap. These lights can be used for task lighting on their own or grouped to make a statement over a dining room table, let your imagination run riot with them. Choosing glass pendants to put in places like kitchens may be better than using a fabric shade as they will be easier to keep clean. They also come in many metals from stainless, zinc or copper, brushed or high gloss; choices will boggle your mind.
In choosing the small multi pendant lighting it does give you the choice of hanging several together, odd numbers seem to make more of a fashion statement, so work in clusters of threes and fives. Consider taking three lights hanging and them together, but hang all of them at differing levels. Even having the same style but three different colors makes a bold appearance. Thinner pencil like shades work best for this as opposed to the globe type shade. This cluster of lights can replace one big room light and give off a far better room light, and of course look stunning doing so. Remember that if you use them in a child’s room, think long and hard before using glass shades, maybe a steel or fabric shade would be a better choice.
Over a breakfast bar single lights across the bar give enough light for all, you have the choice to hang them at whatever height you desire, just remember not too low that someone will hit their head all the time when standing. Also remember if you have kids, these lights can get hot, so keeping them away from tiny hands is a must. Pick up the color in the shades of your kitchen, maybe a stainless shade or complement some copper pans with copper shades, and you will wow your guests with your choice. Use them in your bathroom to; choose a finish that will match your faucets and again the look will enhance any room.
