Simple Guide to Central Air-Conditioning Installation
In a HVAC system, the central air-conditioning distributes cold air to a number of rooms in an open space. Centralized units offer a more efficient cooling system than conventional air-condition systems. If the weather gets too hot and you only have a single air-conditioning unit, it may be ideal to put in a central air-conditioning system. Though installing the system may require assistance from an expert, some tasks can be done on your own.
Central air-conditioning systems are a little bit complicated to install than the single air-conditioning unit. If you do not have any experience on putting in electrical installations, you will need a professional to help you in some of the work.
To start the central air-conditioning installation, you will first need to put in the air handler unit. This piece is commonly installed in the basement or in the attic. It is wise to follow the basic installation procedures that come with the unit.
Before you start installing the HVAC air-conditioning, make sure to switch off the main electrical power of the house or building as continuing the task while the power is on may be extremely dangerous. After this, you can now proceed with the installation of the compressor. The equipment may be placed atop the base. The area that surrounds the compressor must be emptied, thus, you must not put it in immediately next to a wall or other materials. Instead, this must be installed in a stable and leveled surface.
Once the compressor is installed, drill holes into the wall of the electricity and refrigeration tubes. After that, place filler in between the tubes and the wall to avoid leakage. Once done, attach the air handler and the compressor to the house’s main power unit. In case the thermostat is needed, attach it to the air handler and the main power supply. When this is done, switch the power back on and check if the air-conditioning is properly working.
