Make Your Own Babysitting Flyer

If you’re new at babysitting, one of the first things you’ll want to do is spread the word that there’s a new babysitter in town and you’re ready to work.  Otherwise, you won’t be doing much babysitting.  Probably the easiest and fastest way to inform others of your services is to make your own babysitting flyers that you can spread around town.  Here are some tips for making a good babysitting flyer.

Keep It Simple
Babysitting flyers don’t have to be complicated.  In fact, the simple ones are often best.  The main reason for this is if you pack a lot of information on to your flyer, it’s bound to look crowded and perhaps even intimidating for the average person to read.  A parent wants to be able have a quick overview of your babysitting services and why they should choose you to babysit for them over other sitters in the areas.  So keep your flyer simple and to the point.

Make It Attractive
Simple however, doesn’t mean boring.  You want your flyer to stand out amongst the other posts so be sure to use a little flare and color when designing your babysitting flyers.  Just don’t go overbored; keep it clean and tidy.

Include Key Information
Lastly, when you make your own babysitting flyer, you’ll want to ensure it has all main information that parents would likely be looking for.  This would include your name, contact information (e-mail or phone# is best), your availability during the week, your qualifications such as first-aid certification or previous babysitting experience, and any other information that would be important, such as whether you can only babysit children of certain age groups (Make sure you are abiding by all babysitting laws your state might have).  Finally,  it’s probably a good idea to also state something to the effect of “References available upon request” so that parents know you are more than willing to offer your good references up to them should they be interested.
