Instyler Review

The Instyler may be something you’ve seen on a TV infomercial recently. The product is a flat iron and curling iron combined into one device. It can:

  • Straighten your hair
  • Curl your hair
  • Add volume and body to your hair
  • Flip in and flip out
  • Straighten the roots
  • Style your bangs

There is also an option to purchase the rapid heat version of the Instyler when you are buying online. This, as the name suggests, gets hot really quick. It does get a little hot to the touch but once you are comfortable using it this won’t present a problem.

Consumer Opinions

I have done considerable research on this product and came across a range of comments. Most were positive and indicate that the Instyler works well as it is intended to do. Negative comments focused mainly on the ‘hot to the touch’ issue mentioned above, however I would say that people did not wait long until they posted about that issue – once you’ve used the Instyler a couple of times you discover the best way to hold and use it.

“It gives me gorgeous hair. My daughter has thicker hair in a layered cut and she loves it, too, so we both give it a ‘thumbs-up’. We would recommend it.”

Another consumer noted:
“I LOVE my InStyler!! I have long, fine hair, but a lot of it, and the InStyler not only smooths it… but it does it wet OR dry”

Ethnic Hair

The Instyler has been promoted as able to work well on various hair types, including ‘ethnic hair’. This would indicate that African Americans, Indian and Asian hair types are all catered for in this flat iron. So does it live up to expectations? One customer said:

“Do yourself a favor and buy this product!! Mine just came in the mail today and it works wonders on my hair. I’m mixed with black, white, and indian so i have that really poofy/curly hair. the instyler tames my hair and gives it shine!!”

So many flat irons/curlers do not work well on any hair type besides the most common so it is good to know that the Instyler has taken a much broader approach, and followed through with it.

So is the Instyler worthy of your investment?

If you want a quality combination curler/straightener then the Instyler fits the bill well. It is affordable and has received excellent reviews from consumers.
