Fake Grass Is Not Only Lawn

When people refer to fake grass they immediately think of synthetic grass or artificial turf and the idea that it is only used as a lawn or playing field. But fake grass is also used in smaller quantities as a decorative display feature either in the ground or in floral displays. It comes in very handy to create an attractive display in situations where the recipient may be allergic to a living bouquet.

The decorative use of fake grass has long been a means of adding an attractive splash of ornamentation that will last significantly longer than a living arrangement. Because grass is used in these situations as background accents the important factor is their presence rather than the fact of whether it is real or fake.

These types of fake grasses are also available to use as outdoor plants when you need to quickly fill in the gaps in the garden. It may be possible that the type of appearance you want to achieve isn’t possible due to the location of the garden or the soil quality. A good ornamental fake grass will solve this problem and it will look good while doing it.

It is possible to buy a huge range of different types of fake grass no matter how large or small you require it to be. They are available is small clipped formal shapes or in more informal clumps that have been designed to replicate natural grass. Species such as vanilla grass, onion grass, sprengeri grass and beach grass all look as though they are actually growing in their neat clumps in the ground. The grass is available as singe stems, small sprays or complete bushes depending on what you need to use them for.

Just because the garden you are planning is an indoor garden doesn’t mean it can’t look great with plants that you would expect to see growing outdoors. Filler plants such as grass can be used in this situation too making it possible to build a realistic terrarium style garden in the foyer of your building.

Don’t always think of the synthetic turf style of fake grass and all of the negative connotations that may be attached to it. Fake grass is a great way to provide decorative accents to all kinds of floral displays both in the ground and out.
