SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN

One has many acquaintances in life. Some are true, most are not. There are also few whom you can call friends. But do you know what keeps friendship genuine? It’s the fact that with real friends, your life will be more meaningful and worth living for.

My name is Belle and I’m 20. I have many friends but among them all there is only one that I surely consider true. His name is Vince. He lives three houses away from ours for five years now and still counting. Actually, he is eight years older than me but whenever we’re together it really doesn’t seem so. He is just so juvenile that sometimes I act as if I’m older. Perhaps that is how it should be. I remember the day when we first met, we were suddenly hooked with each other as if we’ve been friends for so long already. Weeks after that, I celebrated my 15th birthday and I was happy because he showed me a pair of silver rings.  He said that he bought it for me and for him as well as a sign of our friendship. I was so delighted then. From that day on, we became best buddies. I am like a little sister to her. He used to walk with me to the park after school during weekdays, and we spend the weekends at either of our houses. I still can’t figure how we became so close that other people think we’re into some intimate relationship. But in reality, he doesn’t treat me like a girlfriend; I’m just like a sister to her. On my 20th birthday, he gave me a charm bracelet. It’s the most precious gift that I have ever received. He always makes me feel special and maybe that is why I’m so comfortable with him.

I don’t know what I really feel about him. We are so close like brothers and sisters but that’s all. It’s like I can’t live without him. But anyhow, I don’t consider it love either, maybe just somewhere between love and companionship.

Gucci Watches For Men: Gift Buying Tips

One of my favorite material gifts that I ever got from my wife has to be my watch. I wear it every day and not a day goes by that I am not reminded about how thoughtful she is. I have no idea how she picked it out, but she really found one that I love (or do I love it because she gave it to me?). No matter the reason, there is no doubt that a new watch is a great gift to give your husband. Below is some watch buying advice to help you in your search.

The easiest way to narrow down the selection of all the watches available on the market is to pick a price. And while everyone’s budget is different, I generally advise people to look in the 500 dollar and up range. This will guarantee that the watch is high quality watch that will be trouble free for years to come, but it also will lend that status that comes along with a nice men’s watch.

The next thing that it comes down to is style. Now this can be a tough one depending on what the guy likes, what he already has in his collection, etc. I personally like the Gucci watches for men. Their collection is fairly small (as far as watch companies go) but there are just enough to offer a wide selection that would appeal to many different men. For instance, the i-Gucci is very fashionable and if he is someone who is concerned about status and appearance as well as being trendy, this watch will suit him well. But they also have the 101G series that puts the Gucci spin on a dive watch. This watch is probably my favorite with the subtle but strong G right on the bezel of the watch.

Diamond Buying 101

Buying a diamond is a complicated process that involves a big investment of time and money. Whether you are buying the diamond as an investment, or for a piece of jewelry, there are a lot of things that you need to know about buying a diamond.

First, make sure you understand the 4Cs of diamonds. These are cut, color, clarity, and carat. Carat refers to the weight, with 1 carat equaling 200 milligrams. The cut is the shape of the diamond, and how it is cut to reflect light. Diamonds come in many colors, from yellow to blue, but for the most common white diamonds, colorless is the ideal. And, finally, the clarity refers to whether the diamonds contains any imperfections, such as material trapped inside of it during the formation, or chips on the surface. Whether you’re buying a loose diamond, or looking at diamond engagement ring prices, be aware that all of these qualities affect the price.

Next, you have to get certain paperwork with the diamond. Especially for larger diamonds, and diamonds bought as an investment, getting the documentation from a reputable third party is important. There is no “list price” for a diamond—every stone is unique, and must be appraised by a professional to determine its value. Be wary of appraisals offered by the stores themselves. There are many certified independent appraisers out there who will give you an unbiased quote on the value of a diamond.

Finally, be carefully about where you buy the diamond. There are many online diamond sellers, and you can find some very reputable ones. But there are also a lot of scams. Do your research about a retailer first. How long have they been around? What return policies do they offer? What certifications do they have?

Depending on what you are looking for, your needs in a diamond will vary. Sometimes, lower quality diamonds will be okay for jewelry. And sometimes, as in cushion cut engagement rings, you will need high clarity and good quality diamonds. If you are buying the diamond as an investment, then the quality becomes even more important. Make sure you know what you are looking for, get all of the necessary paperwork, and buy from a reputable store.
