Effective Ways Of Performing A Cardio Exercise While Using A Garmin Forerunner 405CX

Isn’t it depressing to notice very little improvement in your body after series of long exercises like aerobics, weight loss gym routines and other form of exercises? Perhaps your body just cannot get enough with the efforts you’ve put forth. The explanation is rather simple, the amount of exercise they’ve exerted is not enough to burn down their body fats.

To explain things clearer, it is essential to remember that the main concern is to lose more calorie than the calorie you have taken in through foods and drinks during the day. To do so, you need to sweat more and consume your stored energies and calories more through fat burning exercises first before you try to shape your body up. Remember this simple trick: Trim down before you tone up.

Excess calories can be burned faster with a cardio exercise but you have to know the correct sequence of doing so. Start with a low intensity cardio exercise (to warm up) for at least 5 or 10 minutes to avoid overdoing it. When the body starts to sweat, your muscles will feel tighter but lighter (seemingly stretched) and it will then signal you that your body can now perform and withstand more pressure.

EXAMPLE: (just choose one)
1. Bicycling or plainly riding a stationary bike in a slow pace.
2. Jogging in a slow pace.
3. Walking in a slow pace.

The next step will be high intensity cardio exercises. In this mode, since the body is done with warming up, you can now perform exercises faster than what you did 5 to 10 minutes earlier. These fast exercises will make you burn calories more and at the same time tone your muscles effectively. Remember to execute any of the following exercises twice faster as you would with the low intensity approach.

EXAMPLE: (just choose one)
1. Bicycling or plainly riding a stationary bike in a faster mode for a minute or two.
2. Jogging faster for a minute or two.
3. Walking faster for a minute or two.

After performing the high intensity cardio exercises, cool yourself down by performing the same exercises you’ve performed on the low intensity cardio exercises mode. Afterwards do some stretching to let your muscles relieve the strain it experienced from the fast heavy exercises. That way you allot room for your muscles to breathe and relax so you can avoid muscle tensions that can later on make you feel sore and aching. Perform these sets of cardio exercises for 4 straight days on the first week and gradually increase the intensity on the succeeding weeks. Exercise with Garmin Forerunner 405CX or Polar FT80 heart rate monitor.
