Amplify Your Water Sports Enjoyment With Rash Vests

Wetsuits are very common garments that are easily recognized by most people.  They are not, however, the best garment for all types of water sports, only scuba diving.  The reason they are not always the best choice for such things as swimming and snorkeling is because they are difficult to move around in due to the thick neoprene material and in some cases, they can even cause a person to retain too much body heat.  For water sports activities in warm, shallow waters, the rash vest is usually a much better option.

Although wetsuits and rash vests are very similar in appearance, they are designed for two completely different purposes.  While wetsuits were intended to be very insulating, rash vests provide no insulating protection from the cold.  Instead, they are designed to act as a type of “second skin” that offers protection from chafing and sun exposure.  The material used to make rash vests is called Lycra, a very lightweight and comfortable material that is easy to move around in.

The original intent of the rash design was for it to be a garment that surfers could wear to protect their skin from developing rashes.  Surfers were getting these rashes because they usually swim out to sea on their surfboards to catch waves.  This was problematic for them because their surfboards were often coated with a layer of sand which stuck to the coat of wax that surfers put on their boards.  In many ways, it was almost like they were lying on sandpaper.  By using a rash vest, however, they then had a garment to protect their skin from developing these rashes.

The fact that rash vests look very much like tri suits is something that confuses many people.  In reality, the two garments are very different.  A tri suit is a special type of garment that is used by athletes participating in a triathlon.  These outfits are usually much more expensive than rash vests.

If you are searching for a great looking garment that you will look great in while protecting your skin at the same time, rash vests are definitely the way to go.

The Pre Wedding Video: An Extra Not To Be Missed

When planning your wedding you must decide whether to choose a videographer along with your photographer.  A videographer is a person who records or films your wonderful event for you to view on any occasion in the future.  It is placed on a DVD and can be complete with footage of the cake cutting, first dance and reception interviews. Another kind of video that you can include is pre wedding footage. A pre wedding video is a fairly new trend that couples are opting to have as well for their wedding memorabilia collection.

Couples can choose from a traditional Love Story theme complete with music and baby pictures of the couple growing up. There is also the more modern day interview type style where friends and family are interviewed and the account of how the couple first met is given in various points of view.   The final interview can be of the couple and their own account of how they met and the subsequent proposal which can be a nice touch.

The pre wedding video can also include the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner. This can capture the bride in her “regular” clothes in comparison to what she will look like on film in her bridal gown.  Covering the rehearsal dinner can also give the videographer a good chance to capture spontaneous toasts or presentations that the bride and groom might want to present to the wedding party.

For a nice add on touch the bride and groom can opt to have the pre wedding footage played at the reception on a large screen projector.  This gives everyone at the reception a chance to really see the behind the scenes preparations and story behind the blessed event.

The pre wedding video is a great chance to really get creative with the love story and history that led up to the wedding itself.  It captures many unprompted scenes that the couple wouldn’t normally have footage of but would enjoy reliving again and again.

The most important thing to remember when you are thinking about getting any videos made for such a special occasion is to ensure that you hire a professional video production company to do the work for you. After all you are going to be watching these videos for the rest of your life, so you want to spend that little bit extra to get a finished product that will do justice to your big days.

Cocktail Dresses For Weddings

Posted in Ladies Fashion, Uncategorized on February 9th, 2011 by Jim – Comments Off

Wearing a cocktail dress for a wedding has received wider acceptance than years ago when dress codes were more demanding required longer and gown-type outfits. Wearing cocktail dresses has become more enjoyable and comfortable to be garbed in at wedding events. However, as they tend to show too much skin for a wedding ceremony or reception, cocktail dresses need to appear formal, elegant and chic.

If the invitation specifies that the wedding is a black-tie event, then cocktail dresses can be shorter, perhaps with a mid-leg a few inches above the knee. Evening dresses that fall just before the middle of the thigh may be too short, so it’s best to steer clear of dresses like those.

Cocktail dresses for weddings come in different colors, textures and shapes so choose the combination that flatters you most. However, you should examine the details of the wedding such as what time it is going to take place. If the wedding is scheduled to take place during the day or early in the second half of the day, you can wear light-colored clothes that will keep you cool and nice and will look flattering on the glowing color of the skin and hair. Black, dark blue or other dark colors are best worn when you are attending a sunset or evening weddings.

Finally, make sure you don’t get anything too flashy or bright. Wearing clothing with bright and shiny details is acceptable if there is a prepared program of activities and you are participating in it. Stay away from donning a fully sequined dress at a wedding day as it is can appear tasteless. To enhance and accentuate the cocktail dress, you can try adding embroidered crystalline applique to your outfit. Just follow these tips regarding getting great cocktail dresses for weddings and you should be fine.
