Buy An Authentic Handbag at K-mart

Posted in Accessories on October 5th, 2010 by Jim – Comments Off

Today I was shopping for a great purse for my daughter who is 13 years old.  I happened to find a purse line at K-Mart that would definitely be her style.  The style of purse I’m referring to is titled “Rebecca Bonbon”.    That particular line features purses of many different styles.  Rececca has large shoulder purses; black, hot pink with details on them.  I could tell it was geared for the pre-teen and teen agers in mind mainly because I could picture a mature woman wearing the hot pink style.  No offense.  The young women need their own style.  Along with the “Rebecca Bonbon” line is the cute accessories that are featured next to the purses.  Some of the accessories are a small pair of sox, hot pink w/hearts and/or kittens pictured.  Not too far from that item was a small change purse which had a place where pictures and/or credit cards could be kept.  The small change purse had also been in matching pink which said on the front of it the word “Love”.  This line of purses and matching accessories are all from a company titled “Global Design Concepts Inc., which is in New York.

I have to say I really like the line.  The price range is between 8.00 and 10.00 depending upon what small accessory people choose.  “Rebecca Bonbon” also features large shoulder bags which are also hot pink.  Those bags were listed as costing 16.00.

Another line of purses that K-Mart had was actually listed as the Cross Body Bag.  The “Dream out Loud” by Selena Gomez is the company name.  This cross body bag comes in Brown, Hot Pink, Grey, Purple, black and Silver.  It costs range between 10.00 and 16.00.

While looking at purses for my teen age daughter I happened to run across a purse which I would consider purchasing.  The company name is “Treviso” and they feature quite a lot of Shoulder handbags as well as clutch bags.   The exciting this about this was finding out that  clutch bags don’t have to come in all the same color.  K-Mart had this “Treviso” clutch bag in black, pink, and brown to name a few.  It’s a great deal because it cost only $16.99.A great time now to shop at K-Mart because they are 40% off.  The shoulder bags come in a variety of colors  too ranging  from purple, black and brown to name a few.  They are relatively inexpensive ranging around $24.00.  This is an excellent handbag sale since it is a fairly good looking purse.

K-Mart also had some cheap designer handbags titled “Attention”.  Their cost was listed at 19.99 and their  was quite a few clutch bags which were in black and multi black in color.

K-Mart even had the Joe Boxer all black purse and also black and purple stripped purse.  I would consider that as an authentic handbag because it was like no other handbag in the store.  Just different from the others, in its’ style and how it appeared.  This purse actually reminded me of a bag which a woman could possibly put a small lunch in.

If women are shopping for a designer handbag the Jaclyn Smith Line would be an excellent choice.  K-Mart features a lot of purses that Jaclyn Smith endorses.  Jaclyn Smith has Shoulder Handbags as well as clutch bags.  All her bags range anywhere from 16.99 up to 24.99 depending upon what you’re looking for.  What I like about her purses is the fact that they all feature a little tag that says “Jaclyn Smith” on it right on the front of the bag.  K-Mart had featured a lot of different colored purses by Jaclyn Smith.  Some of the colors are black, brown, and tan.

If women happen to be shopping for a purse that is as I would consider “An all in one purse” then they may chose to look at Butler “Essentials” by Jen Groover.  The emblem on the purse itself says it all.  “Every girl needs a Butler.”  How true that is.  I truly wished I’ve seen that purse years ago when my daughter was a lot younger.  If I had that purse then I would not have to have carried as many things in multi bags as I did.  Jan Groover solves the problem which is titled “Purse-finding items inside.”  This particular handbag was designed to have a more functional interior.  A dishwasher trey was placed in this large shoulder handbag.  Its’ advantage being that their was a place for everything.  A woman could put her lip stick, cell phone and even small items for the children.

A Masquerade Party is a Great Themed Party Idea

If you are looking for a theme for a party, you should really give the masquerade some consideration. A masquerade party can be fun for everyone involved. It basically involves the guests wearing light disguises such as a mask and matching outfit, or maybe even a full costume. The fun comes in because the guests won’t be able to recognize each other and won’t be able to form normal social circles. This creates an exciting social environment free of judgment and preconceived notions.

The basic element of this kind of party is the mask. Also known as masquerade ball masks, these disguises cover part or all of the face with the intention of hiding the identity of the wearer.  There are a variety of types of these masks including half face masks and full face Venetian style masks. They can be very basic with just a single base color and surrounding only the part of the face around the eyes. However, they can also be extreme with multiple colors, strange shapes, and a variety of add-ons for flair (like huge feathers!).
If you want your party to be a little more formal, you can lean more toward a masquerade ball. It has the same basic rules, but usually includes more specific rules for the mask and may include other attire rules, like suits and ties for men and dresses only for women. These are usually a little lower key because of the formality, so if you’re looking for a crazier idea you should go with the standard masquerade party rules.

To setup your party correctly, you really just need to plan a party like you normally would be give the guests a little more direction. If you don’t explicitly direct them, they will show up without a mask and ruin the mood of the party. With your invitation, whether verbal or written, tell them that a mask (and perhaps a matching costume) is required for entry into the party. If you have an additional theme or color scheme in mind, make sure to mention that as well.

It is pretty easy to pull off a masquerade, but you have to make sure all of your guests are on the same page about the attire rules. Add some simple decorations and music and you’re party is sure to be a blast. Adding adult beverages is usually acceptable for this type of party as long as your guests will be of drinking age, but it can ruin the theme if everyone gets a bit too wild.

Properly Storing Nail Polish With A Cheap Nail Polish Rack

Posted in Accessories on September 24th, 2010 by Jim – Comments Off

It is very likely you’ve lost count of how many nail polish bottles are part of your overall collection. While it may seem like a good thing to have a vast selection of colors to choose from for your manicure, there are some drawbacks to letting your inventory of nail polish grow out of hand. For one, you might not have a proper storage scheme in place to be easily able to retrieve such and such color.

Many people often stuff the bottles into a small makeup bag. Finding the right color becomes a lottery of sorts. You need to find a cheap nail polish rack where you can properly assemble your entire collection to reduce any frustration in respect to retrieval. You might find one to your liking at a local salon, however the best prices for a nail polish organizer are often to be fetched online.

Regardless, there are some general guidelines that need to be followed when storing nail polish beyond maintaining some sort of storage schema. For one, these bottles need to be kept out of sunlight. What happens is that over time, the light begins to disrupt the color composition of the nail polish. Ultimately, your glitter pink nail polish might adopt a yellow hue that might not make it so appealing. You also want to keep the bottles away from excessive sources of heat. The heat will work to thin the nail polish, making it difficult to apply when the time comes.

People automatically assume that they can kill two birds with one stone and place their collection in the fridge. Beyond the impracticality of transferring your entire collection into the fridge, there are the health concerns. Nail polish contains toxic chemicals that should be kept far away from anything to be ingested. You should instead find an area in your home not exposed to direct sunlight and away from any sources of heat to stash your nail polish. You might have a few areas to choose from, so to narrow the choices down consider an area that your kids or pets don’t have access to. This way, you can assure that they wont encounter the toxic effects of the nail polish.
