Carpet Cleaning Machines To Get It Spotless

If you have a fully carpeted home you know the great amount of drama that can come from the regular cleaning needed to keep your carpet fresh and new looking. A good carpet is the center piece of a good looking room and requires a lot of maintenance. Children and guests make spills, pets leave hair and tracks and all nature of things always seem to find their way to the floor. Vacuuming will not always remove all of the debris and the stains it will not help at all. The solution for most people is carpet cleaning machines.

Carpet cleaning machines are designed with as much functionality as possible. Carpet cleaning machines are used for shampooing and general cleaning instead of spot cleaning. There are several brand of hand carpet cleaners on the market that are touted by the manufacturers to be for spot cleaning but these do not generally do nearly as good a job as a larger machine. The simple reason for this is that many cleaning jobs are used for stains and these usually tougher to remove because the motor is usually too small to generate the scrubbing action necessary to remove some stains.

There are two options when you are looking for carpet cleaning machines. You can call a professional carpet cleaning company. These companies usually offer full cleaning services which can include not only carpets but drapes, curtains and furniture. These companies use the industrial sized carpet cleaning machines and, if you take your time and find the right one, they are fully bonded and insured. They will send a crew to your home and will usually only take a couple of hours to complete the job.

The other option is to go to your local hardware store or grocery store that rents carpet cleaning machines and do the job yourself. These machines are usually smaller than the machines that professionals use but are still good enough for most problem areas. Some stores include the necessary cleaning chemicals and some do not. Before your rent your machine, make sure that if the chemicals are not included or that you know what chemicals to buy and in what amounts.

Before you start the cleaning process make sure that the do a thorough vacuuming. This will remove all of the loose debris. The chemicals you get with the machine will include a pre-spray the heavily trafficked areas. These areas generally have more dirt and grime and need to be pre-soaked. Once the pre-cleaning chemicals have had about 30 minutes to loosen the grime, fill your machines reservoir with hot water and shampoo and use according to the manufacturer’s instructions. After shampooing, drain the water and shampoo from the machine, rinse it out, and refill it with clear water. Run it through again and then reverse the machine to extract the water. Now you will have a carpet that is clean and fresh.
