Buy A Fun Chinchilla Toy For His Cage

Once you have set up a good cage and shelter for your baby chin, it is now time to find a fun chinchilla toy.

Your chinchilla will spend most of its time in the cage, and without something to amuse him he would try to wrestle his way out of the cage and generally be dissatisfied with his lot. Aside from that there are certain toys that actually keep him fit and healthy, like that of a rolling wheel which allows him to exercise.

Or what about those wooden toys that help him nip off his teeth. Chinchillas like to munch around because their teeth are constantly growing and it is a burden for them to get too long, thus they are naturally inclined to chew something. So lure him with a piece of wood to chew. You might want to wither it first and make sure that there are no pesticides or wooden finishes that are harmful to your chins.

Like any other pet, chinchillas also like to bite into things, and carry something in their mouth. Just make sure these things are not easily detachable as they might swallow the small parts. Some chins like stuff that makes noise, like small bells or beads. You might want to keep the noise to a minimum too and so give him only a few noisy toys.

Another fun thing you could place on your cage is a hammock. Some chins prefer sleeping on an elevated area of the cage, but try creating a sturdy but comfortable cradle and see if he rests on it. You might also want to experiment whether the layout of the hammock pleases the chinchilla or not. You would be able to tell because he would bite them off if he does not approve of them. Some wants their hammocks to be attached in only 3 hooks while others prefer them to be attached on all four corners. Surely your chinchilla will love to stay on his chinchilla cage playing with all his new chinchilla toys.
