3 Reasons Not to Worry about Your Child’s Wedding Day

After attending several weddings in my lifetime — and seeing a few reality shows about the subject on TV — it is clear some mothers sadly worry too much over their children’s weddings. This worry is misplaced.

Are you a mother who worries that all eyes will be on you during your child’s big day? If so, this article may give you peace, or at least, some help.

  1. This Is Your Child’s Big Day

Some people lose focus — the child’s wedding day is about the child, not the parent. That said, it is hard for some mothers to separate themselves. This is a sad fact, when you think about it. After all, your daughter or son’s wedding will be a memory that lingers in your child’s life. On what do you want them to focus?

Happy memories, or the fact you may have been too wrapped up in yourself to let go and let the bride and groom enjoy their day?

  2. All Eyes Will Be on Your Child

Especially if your child is the bride, all eyes will be on your child, and not on you. This ought to give you solace. People go to weddings thinking, “What will the bride wear?” It only matters that the bride and groom’s parents appear respectful and presentable. Your task is to wear only what complements what the bride and groom are wearing, and not detract.

As long as you have that covered, you are doing what you need to do.

  3. Even Wrinkles Need Not Bother You

Yes it is true. You are not as young as you were on your own wedding day. You surely have wrinkles you have attained over the years. This is not a big deal. Wrinkles give character and are beautiful in themselves. That said, even if you think you need to cover your wrinkles, you need not worry. That is why there is wrinkle minimizer and other methods of wrinkle reduction.

So, you see? All is well! Now, go be happy on your child’s wedding day!
